Steps to Get Married
  • Contact one of the officials listed below to make arrangements for the marriage.
  • Obtain a Saskatchewan Marriage License (mandatory).

Saskatchewan Marriage License

A Saskatchewan Marriage License is mandatory for all couples wishing to be married under the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan, Regina (IAOS-Regina).

Before Your Nikāh Ceremony

  • Obtain your Marriage License from the City Hall.
  • Provide the Marriage Certificate Application to the Imam a few days before your Nikah.
  • Bring two valid IDs (passport, driver’s license, etc.).
  • The bride’s wali and two witnesses must be present to sign the documents.
  • Agree on the bridal gift (mahr) in advance.
  • Ensure guests are aware of masjid etiquettes.

  • This booking is for the Prayer Hall ONLY — arranging for an Imam is your responsibility.
  • Modest dressing for men & women, and head coverings for women are mandatory.

Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy:
You may cancel 30 days before the booking for a full refund minus $100 administration fee.
50% refund if canceled 15–30 days before. No refunds within 14 days.
Date changes must be made at least 15 days before, with a $100 change fee.
