New Mosque and Community Updates

By the grace of Allah (SWT), progress on the Masjid project continues steadily.

● HVAC, Plumbing & Mechanical — Contractors are ready to proceed and are currently waiting for drywall installation to be completed.
● Stucco – Exterior Finishing — Stucco work on the north-side façade is currently in progress.
● Dome — The dome order has been placed, Alhamdulillah.
● Interior Steel Framing — Installation is progressing well, with approximately 80% of the work completed.
● Electrical Works — The electrical contractor is currently installing conduits for the audio-visual system and wiring for security cameras.
● Driveway & Parking — The driveway contract has been awarded as part of the phased site development plan. Work is expected to begin soon, In sha Allah.
● Fencing — Fencing installation is scheduled to commence shortly, In sha Allah.
● Sprinkler System — Sprinkler installation is ongoing. Installation in the Men's Prayer Hall has been completed.
● Drywall & Insulation — Drywall work has begun in the Sisters' Prayer Hall, ablution area, and washrooms.
● External Doors — Revised shop drawings have been submitted to the Architect and are currently under review.
● Internal Glass Partitions — The Project Team is evaluating alternative solutions that provide better value while maintaining functionality and aesthetics.
● Chandeliers & Wall Lighting — The lighting design and supplier have been selected, and the contract is expected to be awarded soon.

● HVAC & Plumbing — Most of the major HVAC and plumbing piping work has now been completed, Alhamdulillah.
● Sprinkler System — The sprinkler system in the Men’s Prayer Hall is fully installed.
● Exterior Stucco — Stucco work on the west-side exterior wall has been completed.
● Starting Next Week, In sha Allah — Interior work will move forward with steel framing, insulation, drywall, and electrical fixture installation.
●Driveway & Parking — The team is reviewing the new driveway and parking layout as part of the next phase of site development.
● Dome — Final details for the dome are currently being reviewed.
● Internal Glass Partitions — The project team is reviewing practical and cost-effective alternatives for the internal glass partitions while maintaining the overall appearance and functionality.
Alhamdulillah, the project continues to move forward. Please keep the As-Salam Masjid project in your duas.

● Windows & Doors: Alhamdulillah, 95% of the work is complete, marking a major milestone for the project.
● Electrical Work: The electrical scope has been officially awarded. Work is expected to begin within the next few weeks, Insha’Allah.
● Interior Framing: Work is currently in progress.
● Domes: Quotations are expected soon.
● The project team is also actively working on awarding the remaining scopes, including the audio‑visual system, as well as the outstanding HVAC and plumbing work.

Age Limit: 7 years to 16 years
Timing and Days: 3 days a week, Friday: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday & Sunday: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Monthly Fees: $60 / child and $50.00 for additional children from the same family.
Registration Deadline: Ongoing (An Assessment is required for the admission).

The IAOS Friday and Saturday Family Halaqas with Imam Sheikh Mohamed Masloh will take place after ‘Isha Salah at 8:00 PM, in shaa Allah.
This coming Saturday, the Sheikh will host a Kahoot session on the Fiqh of Salah.
